THE BEAT-HELLS
(ザ・ビート・ヘルズ)

長年の友人であるニール・スター（フィル・キャンベル・アンド・ザ・バスタード・サンズ／アタック！アタック！）とシビ・ハフナー（イッチー）が、COVID-19ロックダウン時に結成したバンドです。
このバンドは、ビートルズとロック・パンクの音楽に対する、彼らのお互いの愛と憧れから生まれました。
ニールとシビは、自分たちの好きなビートルズの曲をいくつか選び、それにユニークさと現在のパンクロック調に仕上げました。彼らはベースにWill Davies (Attack! Attack!) を迎え、Beat-Hellsの中核を完成させました。

前述したように、バンドは世界封鎖中にスタートしたので、アルバムは各メンバーが遠隔操作でレコーディングしました。アルバム作成の為に一人のドラマーに絞るのではなく、ニールとシビは各トラックに異なるドラマーを迎え入れました。その結果、10人以上の異なるドラマーがアルバムで演奏することになり、そのリストもまた素晴らしいものとなりました！

Ed Udhus (Zebrahead), Dane Campbell (Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons), Kob (punk rock factory), Johno Fisher (States and Empires), Eike (Donots), Sascha (Madsen), Michael (Blackout Problems), Max (Itchy), Daniel (Van Holzen), Flo (Sportfreunde Stiller), Fab (Emil Bulls) and Fabi (Killerpilze).

The Beat-Hellsがリリースした初シングルは「Please please me」に決定した。
シビは「ビートルズが最初にリリースしたレコードの一つなので、とてもふさわしい選曲だと思いました」と語っている。
ニールも「これは僕らも最初にアレンジしてレコーディングした曲のひとつで、エネルギーに満ち溢れていて、初期のビートルズの名曲だ」と付け加えている。

The Beat-Hells were formed by long time friends Neil Starr (Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons / Attack! Attack!) and Sibbi Hafner (Itchy) during the start of COVID-19 lockdown 2020. The idea of the band was born out of their mutual love and adoration for the Beatles and rock/punk music. Neil and Sibbi have chosen some of their favourite Beatles tracks and tried to put a unique and current punk rock spin on them . They recruited Will Davies (Attack! Attack!) to assume Bass guitar duties and the core of the Beat-Hells was complete.

As previously mentioned the band was started during a world lockdown so the album was recorded remotely by each member of the band. Rather than recruiting one drummer for the whole album Neil and Sibbi decided to pick a different drummer for each track, which has resulted in over 10 different drummers playing on the album and what a list it is too!

What a killer line up!!

The first single to be released by The Beat-Hells has been chosen as ‘Please please me’. Sibbi said “We felt like this would be a very appropriate choice of song as it was one of the first records the Beatles released”. Neil added “This was one of the first songs we arranged and recorded too, it’s full of energy and is an early Beatles classic”. The single is due for digital release on July 16th 2021. The full length self titled 14 track album will be released 2 weeks later digitally on July 30th 2021.
